We are seeking a suitably qualified and energetic emergency medicine specialist to join our expanding and enthusiastic emergency medicine team.

Tauranga is a vibrant, coastal, cosmopolitan city with a rapidly growing population of approx 120,000 with a median age of 38.1 years. The casemix is diverse with a relatively high acuity, reflective of our demographics, with presentations topping 40,000 per annum, (projected to be 45,000 for the year 2010/11).   We have recently had an expansion of clinical space including state of the art resuscitation bays.  
Applicants should be committed to the provision of excellent patient care, teaching and quality improvement. The applicant will be expected to participate in rostered shifts and after hours on call.  The successful applicant would be an enthusiastic participant in the development of the local training programme.   Special interests will be encouraged within the specialty of emergency medicine.
